Correlated systems

In this context we are searching for new compounds with correlations. Systems under investigations are Nanographenes in collaboration with Müllen (MPI-P, Mainz), Alkalimetalloxides (Jansen, MPI, Stuttgart), GdI2 (Simon, MPI, Stuttgart) Nickelates (Greenblatt, Rutgers) Oxochlorides (Cava, Princeton), cerium compounds (von Löhneysen, Karlsruhe) and valence fluctuations (Wortmann, Paderborn). A high light of our research are our recent results on mixed valent Rubidiumhyperoxidperoxid. Exotic, anionogenic magnetism and correlation can be found in the Alkali-Oxygensystem Rb4O6. In collaboration we will apply high pressure to compounds, in which we can not achieve a metal to insulator transition by substitution of elements
